Nicola Hicks: Wabbling Back to the Fire

Tuesday 19 September 2017 – Saturday 11 November 2017

New exhibition of sculpture by British artist Nicola Hicks includes work ranging from 1999 to the present day. Willow Pattern, the central piece, is a re-imagining of the 18th century blue and white 'Toile de Jouy' decorative pattern. The exhibition also includes Circus Horse, a 'self-portrait' re-imagining the artist in alternative animal form; Who was I Kidding, continuing the artist's exploration of Aesop's Fables; and a series of smaller works under the collective title A Walk in the Park, based on Chelsea Figures, a style of domestic pottery. The exhibition coincides with a new monograph published by Elephant in association with Flowers Gallery.
