Aftermath: Art in the Wake of World War One

Exhibition exploring the impact of World War One on British, German and French art, from official war memorials and documentary evidence of the work of military hospitals, through to Dada, Surrealism, the so-called Rappel a l'Ordre (return to order) and postwar artists and movements including the Bauhaus. Includes work by Otto Dix, Max Beckmann, Kathe Kollwitz, Georges Rouault, Fernand Leger, Oskar Schlemmer, William Orpen, John Heartfield, Winifred Knights and Dod Proctor.
