Textile installation, ceramics and video by Mexican artist Pia Camil. The exhibition explores consumerism and globalisation through works that are playful, interactive and participatory. The gallery space is divided by a large curtain constructed from t-shirts originally manufactured in Latin America for export and then illicitly sold back to Mexico to be resold in street markets. Camil will be presenting new commissions including a usable hammock made out of discarded jeans sewn together, creating intimate and social spaces within the gallery. The show also features Camil's ceramic masks and a newly commissioned video produced in collaboration with writer Gabriela Jauregui.
