Dazzle: Disguise and Disruption in War and Art

Exhibition exploring the Dazzle designs developed during the First World War to protect British ships against U-Boat attacks. Soon ships were sailing out looking like exhibits in an avant-garde art show. This display, curated by author and historian James Taylor, looks at the development of Dazzle and features original ship models, Dazzle plans and artworks made to record and celebrate the scheme. Includes works by Norman Wilkinson, Edward Wadsworth, Montague Dawson, John Everett and J D Ferguson, the Scottish colourist.
