Monday 01 October 2018Sunday 03 February 2019

Paintings by early British Modernist Karl Hagedorn (1889 - 1969). Born in Berlin, the artist moved to Manchester in 1905 and later studied at the Slade School of Art. His work was heavily influenced by other European artists such as Pablo Picasso, Gino Severini and Henri Matisse. He also provided advertising designs for the Empire Marketing Board, Shell and the Radio Times. Created in partnership with Liss Llewellyn Fine Art, this is the first exhibition of Hagedorn’s work in nearly 25 years.
