Exhibition of work by African American artist Faith Ringgold, widely recognised for her politically-charged paintings, story quilts, protest posters and children’s books. Protest and activism have remained integral to Ringgold's practice: the show begins with American People (1963-67), a series that exposes social inequalities and racial tensions witnessed during the Civil Rights era and culminates in the artist's response to the Black Power movement.
