Charlotte Salomon: Life? or Theatre?

Friday 08 November 2019Sunday 01 March 2020

Over 200 small gouaches by German-Jewish artist Charlotte Salomon (1917-43) created in the early 1940s. The works portray a complicated family life, growing up in Berlin, the rise of the Nazis, and exile in the south of France where she lived with her grandparents. Salomon was murdered by the Nazis in Auschwitz in 1943.
