Witnessing Terror: French Revolutionary Prints 1792-94

Prints from the period of the French Revolution known as the Terror (1792-94) that was characterised by a political culture of violence and public executions were rife. Alongside portraits of revolutionary martyrs and dramatic scenes of Parisian crowds are everyday images and objects including paper money, passports, maps and placards.
