Works by and of women in college art collections in Cambridge from the last 100 years. From an eighteenth-century Gainsborough portrait of Lady Margaret Downing to contemporary works, the exhibition tells the stories of women's journey towards full participation in college and university life through their increasing representation in college art collections. Participating colleges include Churchill, Darwin, Downing, Girton, Jesus, King’s, Murray Edwards, and Newnham. Artists include Elisabeth Frink, Lubaina Himid, Claerwen James, Mary Kelly, Juliette Losq, Melanie Manchot, Louise Nevelson, Winifred Nicholson, Ciara Phillips, Gwen Raverat, Sophie Seita and Alison Wilding.
