John Minton

Major exhibition of work by British artist John Minton (1917-1957), marking the centenary of his birth. Minton was a painter working in the neo-romantic tradition as well as an illustrator, stage designer and art teacher. He was also known as a bohemian and Soho habitué, a contemporary and friend of Lucian Freud and Keith Vaughan in the 1940s and 50s. The exhibition includes landscapes, portraits, book illustrations, posters and lithographs.
